2017 UPDATE: NEW 3 year agreement signed.
Toronto Skillz FC and German Company, Schachter Management Group recently completed a comprehensive cooperation agreement focused on elite player development, player Identification, professional showcasing and coaching education. The Schachter Management group will provide technical assistance to Toronto Skillz ensuring our Elite Academy Players are consistently exposed to the elite level of training required to compete at the National and Professional Level. This agreement will provide our coaches with hands on training experience in Germany while also bringing over Elite German Trainers to work locally with our Academy Players.
In addition, our Academy Players (male and female) will have the opportunity to showcase their development in Germany against professional academies from various top clubs in Europe from ages U12 to U18.
“Canada lags behind in player development compared to the top countries in the CONCACAF region, as seen recently by the failure of our U17 and U20 men’s team to qualify for their respective world championships “ says Jake Doodnath, President of Toronto Skillz ” the only way to improve what we are doing to develop players is to work with organizations such as our German Partners who have a proven track record in developing some of the top talents in Europe” .
