January 26th 2015, Toronto, Ontario

Toronto Skillz FC Academy is pleased to announce the signings of Brad Beaumont (22) and Maleik Defreitas-Gray (19) to professional contracts with Trinidad and Tobago powerhouse W.Connection F.C. of the TT Pro League.

Brad, a highly skilled central defender and defensive midfielder and Maleik, a very creative attacking midfielder and forward spent a 7-10 day trial in 2014 with W-Connection and impressed head coach Stuart Charles-Fevrier and club President David John-Williams, earning themselves a professional contract for the rest of the 2014/2015 season.

Toronto Skillz FC Technical Director Leslie “Tiger” Fitzpatrick recommended Brad and Maleik to W-Connection as players who would fit their style of play and also provide additional defensive and attacking options over the rest of the season. Coach Tiger expects this opportunity to accelerate the players’ development professionally as their daily regimen would now include first team training and matches both domestically and regionally in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) and Confederation of North, Central American, and the Caribbean Football (CONCACAF) competitions over the next four months.

Toronto Skillz FC would like to congratulate Brad and Maleik as they embark on their professional careers, and we will be following their progress closely throughout the rest of the season.

Be sure to follow Brad and Maleik’s progress on our TS Twitter Page and TS Facebook page!

W.Connections FC is the most successful club in the history of the Trinidad and Tobago Pro League, and has also achieved tremendous success while participating in the CONCACAF Champions League against some of the best clubs in the region over the years.
